Spongebob Bathroom!
I didn't post pictures of my newly painted bathroom! I really do like the yellow paint a lot. At first, I wasn't sure I was going to like it. It's a wee bit brighter than I anticipated it would be, and it was actually looking WAY streaky, even though I applied like eleventy-seven separate coats of paint. I'm telling you, I think I decreased the square footage of the bathroom just from all the paint on the walls! After it dried, though, I really liked it. The day after I painted it, the morning sunlight was coming in and it looked SO cheerful and pretty! Mallory came in and said, "Wow, mama! It's all LELLO in here!" Indeed. It would have been GORGEOUS with my blue shower curtain with the rubber duckies all over it, but I decided I'm just over the duckies. It's been four years now, and I'm ready for a new theme. So we bought a Spongebob shower curtain. Something the little kids will like and the big kid too!
So after I painted it all yellow, I painted a little Spongebob and Patrick on the wall, brushing their teeth. I'm fairly happy with how it turned out. The kids LOVE it and think I'm awesome, and that's pretty cool, right?? I keep seeing streaks, smudged paint, pencil marks that need to be painted over, and that gay looking right hand on Spongebob. I guess it's okay, though. If I have time next week, I'm going to paint Plankton down near the floor where the kids can see him.
Here's my Spongebob Bathroom!
