Hey, is anyone here? Hi, it's me, Laura! Yeah, I know I haven't updated my blog in forever. I had a bunch of family in town, which was a whole lot of fun, but it required a whole lot of my time getting my house ready to show off to people who had never seen it. And we had a great visit and everyone is gone now, so I'm ready to get back to my regular life.

I wanted to document the fact that my formal living room/dining room is clean, though. It's never clean. I mean, it's CLEAN, it's not filthy or anything, we don't have dirty laundry or dishes under the couch or anything like that, but it's ALWAYS got crap stacked up on the dining room table that needs to go to the basement or the garage. It's ALWAYS got boxes of this or that we need to go through for the twin club sale or the flea market or some garage sale Paul thinks he's going to have or whatever. There are always thirty tiny pairs of shoes scattered about. And there's always paperwork stacked up on the hutch.

But, not today, baby. It still looks all nice and clean from having company here, and after I took the leaves out of the dining room table and put my everyday lace tablecloth back on it and vacuumed and all that, I decided I'd better take a picture, so I can come back to this blog entry and fondly remember what it was like to have a nice, clean living room.
