I weep for my lawn.
I don't get it. Our backyard looks great! Okay, okay. Not GREAT. It's slightly patchy, and there are a couple of spots that are almost dead, thanks to the baby pool. But it looks a thousand times better than the front yard, which resembles mange.
We water it! We fertilized! Still, it's half dead and full of dandelions. Booo. I spent all of naptime yesterday pulling weeds and pruning my shrubs, so it looks better, but it still looks like total crap.
I'm really hoping with a little more TLC, it'll start looking like the other (beautiful) lawns on our street, and I can look back at this blog post and say, "Look how far you've come, little lawn!"

Your lawn looks like ours. We built a new house last fall and I'm killing myself this spring trying to get the lawn looking good.
I love your blog idea, I myself am an engineer and your blog reminds me of our family as well.
If you're interested I've also created a home improvement blogroll that folks have joined. It's a great way to get more traffic to your site. Check it out if you get a minute, http://homeimprovementblogroll.blogspot.com

Gah, didn't finish my thought! Anyway, does Paul have any contacts that could get you one for an afternoon? You'd be surprised how much it will help.
