The Enginerd Biker, part 2.

Paul installed the speakers on his bike yesterday and the amp, and he came rumbling into the backyard on the bike, surprising me and the kids. It was so funny to see their faces when they saw their daddy on a motorcycle coming up the path! And it came out SO great. It looks so tight. It's like it was meant to be part of the bike. The speakers look like part of the instrument panel. He did such a nice job installing it all!

And it freakin' CRANKS, too! I was surprised how clear it sounded over the rumble of the engine. I took pictures too - a bunch - and they're still on my camera. I was going to edit the pictures and post them here last night, but we had kind of a rough night. If you read my other blog, you probably saw that our little boy had an asthma attack last night and he had to go to the hospital in an ambulance. We didn't get home until the middle of the night, and I was SO tired today! (I'm writing all of this as if it's still Monday night, when it's actually Tuesday at 1 in the morning. Why the hell am I still up??)

I know, this isn't much of an update. I'm sorry. Pictures to follow! Tomorrow! (Today?)

The Enginerd Biker, part 1.

I titled this part 1, because I don't actually have PICTURES yet, and what's a story without pictures, really?

Paul is going to Sturgis in less than a month, and he's spent the past few weeks fabricating stuff for his bike. He made a little holder for his Palm/iPod where he can actually change songs while driving. He also made a really cool cup holder for his bottled water out of - get this - those ring things that you have on your garbage disposal! I cracked UP when I saw his cup holder - it says, "In Sink-Erator" on it! Ha!!

I think he just put that on there to be funny, though - I doubt if it'll be a permanent thing. And, just like all his little homemade gadgets, everything looks just like it was factory installed. He doesn't have any ghetto-looking stuff, which I think is pretty cool.

So, stay tuned for pictures of all his nifty stuff. He's installing his new bike speakers and amp tonight.
